About Us
The rich tradition of philanthropy and social service embedded within the Lohia family traces back to 1929 when the Late Shri Muralidharji Lohia initiated the family’s social work endeavors by establishing a Sanskrit School. His visionary leadership also played a pivotal role in founding the Maheshwari Vidya Pracharak Mandal (MVPM) in the same year, where he served as both a donor and a trusted advisor.
Continuing the legacy of his father, Late Shri Mukunddasji Lohia, furthered the family’s commitment to social welfare by contributing to the establishment of institutions such as the Poona Hospital and Research Center, Lohiya Vidyalaya, and Daulatram Mandir. Additionally, he generously donated towards the construction of Bhakt Nivas at revered religious sites including Pandharpur, Paithan, Trambkeshwar, Narsobachi wadi, Morgaon, and Rameshwar

Management of the Hostel
The hostel will be jointly managed by Shree Mukund Bhavan Trust in Collaboration with Maheshwari Vidya Pracharak Mandal (MVPM) which has decades of experience in successfully running the hostels. MVPM has 6 hostels in Pune and 1 each in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. The total strength of these hostels is 1000+. All these hostels are equipped with the facilities and environment required for a standard hostel. Each of these hostels has separate management committees that take care of the operations of the hostels in all aspects. Apart from providing stay and food, students are provided with various value-added programs that give them exposure to the knowledge, and skills required apart from the regular academics in their schools/colleges.
